Buying assistant
40 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven purchasing assistant for the buying department. As a Buying Assistant you are responsible for the administrative processing and follow-up of purchase orders. You also have a say in selecting new collections. Do you have an affinity with flower pots, a proactive work attitude and do you have an eye for detail?
Pottery Pots is a fast growing family business located in Hazerswoude-Dorp (head office) and Burlington (USA). We sell a trendy collection of high-quality pots for indoor and outdoor use and are active worldwide. Our customers include florists, garden centres, home furnishing stores, wholesalers and gardeners. As a Buying Assistant you work from our head office in Hazerswoude-Dorp and you will join an informal, cozy but hardworking team.
What are you going to do?
You are primarily responsible for the order process towards our suppliers. You have daily contact with suppliers. You are the pivot between buying and logistics, with the following activities:
Submitting the order recommendations for both Europe and the USA;
Processing purchase orders and entering them into our ERP system;
Checking invoices and creating packing slips for logistics;
Rebooking of incoming containers;
Quality control of incoming goods;
Other procurement-related support tasks.
Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
You have HBO working and thinking level and relevant work experience;
You have an excellent command of the English language both verbally and in writing;
You enjoy working independently, but you are also a team player;
You work accurately and structured;
You are stress resistant and can switch ad hoc;
You have a flexible attitude, are collegial and reliable;
You have a good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and you have affinity with working in an ERP system.
